Politics for People

The Co-operative Party - Enterprise, Empowerment, Accountability

Yourspace in Europe

Monday, November 05, 2007

As well as our own manifesto for the 2008 London elections, the Co-operative Party is keen to get involved in policy discussions at all levels. So it's great to see a new interactive manifesto process, working in collaborative, co-operative ways. The Party of European Socialists has kicked off an open consultation on priorities and progressive policies for a common manifesto for socialists and social democrats for the European elections in June 2009.

The consultation has an online part called ‘Yourspace’, www.manifesto2009.pes.org, where everyone with an interest in progressive politics is invited to have their say. There's space for blogs, video uploads and individual discussion groups which members can set up. Check out the YouTube video for a presentation. There's also a Facebook group.

Thanks for mentioning our initiative! We're trying to reach as many as we can, so great that you are spreading the word.

Cheers from Brussels...
